Residence Hall Dining Services
Dining Services offers a variety of popular entrees at each meal. To complement the menu, each dining hall provides a salad bar, deli bar, pasta bar, stir-fry station, vegetarian entrée, dessert station, waffle makers, pizza station, beverage station, and soft-serve ice cream station. Unlimited seconds are offered to all who want that extra helping.
You may use your meal plan in any of the residence hall dining halls. Meal hours are posted throughout all halls. Dining Services provides continuous dining from the beginning of breakfast to the end of the dinner meal.
In the case of a class, lab, or work schedule conflict, arrangements can be made for a sack lunch for the meal you miss. This sack lunch request must be made at your Dining Services Office at least twenty-four hours in advance.
Dining Services makes every effort to make you feel at home. Monthly theme meals are planned, and you are treated to a meal that includes special entrée selections, decorations, and, in some cases, entertainment. Special buffets are served several times throughout the school year.
Your Board Dollar
Residential Dining Services serves nineteen meals per week: breakfast, lunch, and dinner, Monday through Friday, and brunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday. Meal swipes are stored on your Tech Express ID card and run from brunch on Sunday through Saturday dinner. Meal swipes expire after Saturday dinner and do not roll over from week to week. Your meal plan can be used to treat a guest at any residence hall dining hall by swiping your card and deducting a meal from your meal plan for your guest. You must be present to treat a guest to a meal. Meal plans can be changed only at the end of the fall semester for the following semester.Questions: Contact Dining Services at housing@mtu.edu, 906-487-2664, or www.housing.mtu.edu.
