Parking
Students living on campus
First-year students are permitted to bring a vehicle to campus. However, due to limited parking close to campus, you are encouraged to leave your vehicle at home. If you choose to bring a vehicle, you must have it registered with the University. There are three ways to register:•Online through the Michigan Tech Avenue
• Online at www.housing.mtu.edu/parking.htm
• At the Housing Facilities Office located on ground floor, east side of Douglass Houghton Hall, Room G044
If you register your vehicle online by August 10, your parking assignment and decal will be included in your new student check-in packet. After you have arrived and unloaded your belongings, please make arrangements to move your vehicle to your assigned parking lot.
Motorcycles and ATV’s are welcome at Tech, but no space is available to provide winter storage. Snowmobile parking is also available.
