Tech Express ID Card

The Tech Express ID Card is your official Michigan Tech photo identification. You should plan to get your ID card when you first arrive on campus. It will be used for parking and building access, your meal plan, and as your Express Cash debit card.

The Express Cash debit card program is available to you as a feature of your ID card. It operates like a checking account, but you don’t have to write checks, pay service or annual fees, or balance your account. Simply by opening an account at the Tech Express Service Center, your ID can be used at many campus locations including the Campus Bookstore for books, at the Memorial Union for a quick meal, at Mont Ripley Ski Hill for a ski pass, and even at campus box offices for sporting and cultural event tickets. You can manage your account online, adding value and reviewing your transactions. Your parents can also go online and add value to your card.

All Tech Express ID Card services can be completed at the Tech Express Service Center located in the Campus Bookstore in the Memorial Union Building. Complete cardholder information is available at our website at www.aux.mtu.edu/techx.

Your Tech Express ID Card is very valuable, and there is a fee to replace lost cards. Keep it with you and keep it safe. Protective sheaths and lanyard holders are helpful and are available at the Tech Express Service Center. Please report the loss or theft of your Tech Express ID Card immediately.
